Default W&B work in progress finished

Finally finished this rescue effort. It ended up at 15/16 at the widest point after removing the huge chip. All the work was done on the buffer with some hand work thrown in. I spent a lot of time on 80 grit. This is by far the toughest restore I've attempted. The bevel is not even but I did not expect it would be given what I was working with and my learning curve. It did not effect the finished edge though. It provided a really nice shave. The old scales were beyond saving. They were in 2 pieces under that old repair but they made a great template for the new horn scales. The wedge is lead as was the original and I added some vintage type collars. I tried Caswell's Blue Rouge as a final polish on the scales. I was impressed at what it did for the horn.
