W. Taylor 8/8
I posted this earlier looking for information on the maker. I did find references to him at https://acierfondu.wordpress.com/mak.../19th-century/ as a Sheffield maker 1840 - 1880. This blade has a nice even bevel for a wedge and provided a wonderful shave. The etching on the blade was mostly gone. Looked like someone got at it with some abrasive paper. There is some light cleaned pitting on the tang which I left to save the makers mark. The original scales were broken at the wedge. These horn scales are nice and thin at .110 with a lead wedge and traditional type brass collars. I fussed with it for what seemed like forever and the blade does not close on center but does not hit the scales.
