Thanked: 1072Bengall in Glacier Blue Acrylic
This is the first restoration I've finished in a long time, I started working on this one over a year ago but never got around to finishing it.
I'd been saving this acrylic for a suitable blade, and decided this nice 6/8 Bengall would work well with it.
The blade was hand sanded to a near mirror finish, S/Steel washers on Nickle-Silver pins with a Corian wedge.
I just honed it, and its looking good, nice small even bevels and a wicked edge. Looking forward to the first shave.
Thanks
Grant

Thanked: 580Nice work baldy, they might be plain Jane looking razors but take a really good edge. A bit under rated down under, probably because there are so many of them.

That's bang-on, the corian wedge is very nice, subtle, what's the saying, "it's the tits"...great looking razor.

Very nice. I really like the color of the scales. Light enough to not overpower the blade, but just enough to make it shine.

Thanked: 129Wow looks superb, just had a look at my Bengall's and they need some work to bring them up to that quality of shine. I for one would really appreciate a breakdown of the stages you went through to get to that amazing finish on the blade. Hoping you can oblige.
