17/16 roundpoint in blue denim kirinite
This was finished today. I did the rough work and heat treatment some time ago, and I noticed it during the finishing stages. I didn't do all that I could before het treatment, which just means that it took longer after :) I went with a round point this time. I did the same half circle filings top and bottom. After heat treatment I cleaned them out with diamond files. that left a fairly decent surface that was easy enough to polish.
Btw, the white line you see in the blade hollow is not a transition between 2 different types of steel or such. I wich I could forge like that and make it come out so clean :) No that is just a trick of the light and the reflection of my ceiling in the blade hollow.

How do you get so tight? Presumably you also honed with tape, right? In my very limited experience I think I grind too little on the hollow and then hone a big flat bed on the spine so there's a consistent surface to follow. Yours doesn't show any such thing.
Awesome by the way!
