I purchased this razor from the Bay and was actually impressed when it arrived. The blade itself was in fair shape - nice enough to clean up without losing much in the way of the cherished embossing. The scales, however were eaten up terribly. This put me on a short quest to decide how to best dress the chap. I would normally turn to handcrafted wood of some exotic variety, but what better, and more symbolic, than rams horn scales. I purchased the slabs from a very good seller on the Bay and cut the wedge from a safe area of the original scales. First time working with rams horn which, while not terrible for me, elicited many complaints from my bride.

I absolutely adore this razor. Finally have it honed up and ready for a test shave this evening ultimately to enter this old fellow into my rotation as my 2nd and 4th Thursday Shaver.

I apologize in advance for the photo quality. I wish that I had the facilities for better photographs, but an iPhone is the best I have for the moment.....
