Early 19th Century “Anchor” Razor…
Here is a razor that I just finished up for a good friend here at SRP. Hard to guess when this razor was actually manufactured…my best guess is ‘early 19th century’… BUT…because there is no actual makers mark, and just an ‘Anchor’ stamped on the front tang, it’s difficult to place the date with any degree of certainty.
For sure and for certain, this was a real ‘project razor’, so I’ll just let the before and after pictures tell the story on this one. This one’s for you Andrew…

Thank-you very much for bringing that old beast back to life!!!
It looked for awhile that this one was too far gone, but wow, can't believe it's the same blade...just gobsmacked over how beautiful you restored it, scales are gorgeous, pins, and as you mentioned, no makers mark??? The Anchor looks like a GB, but who knows...the mystery!?!
I know you put a lot of work into this one, thank-you very much, it looks fantastic!
