Thanked: 2591Japanese SRC restore
This one got a full treatment.
The blade had some corrosion spotting that I cleaned up. The original scales had a chip right behind the wedge , it was too big to try and remove without making the scales look weird. I made a new set contoured them and transferred the overlay. For the scales I used Lava Flow kirinite, red acrylic wedge, brass pins and stainless washers.

That's a very nice razor and some really beautiful scales. You are doing some amazing things with kirinite. I've been trying to resist but I can see now that I have to try it. Sigh, here comes yet another addiction.

What a great combination--those scales fit the razor perfectly. I really like this restore.

Good looking razor Stefan. Do you know what steel they use ?
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
