    Default Northfield Cutlery Co.

I was originally going to go with a set of ebony scales, but found an old set of horn lying in a box. Gave them a quick cleaning and polish and put them on. I left some scratches and blemishes on them. I didn't want to do to much to the scales since the blade isn't perfect and having perfect looking scales would throw off the balance of the look in my opinion. Hard to see from the photos, but there is a spot on the scales that actually look like wrinkles or creases from being folding over. There is a warp in the scales in that spot so I think at one point they must have been bent. Didn't think that would happen without snapping the horn. The razor itself still has some pitting. I almost feel guilty for having a satin finish on it since it hides alot of the defects unless you look at it at the right angle with bright light. Makes me feel somewhat dishonest. Anyway here it is.
