Default 28 year old Dovo Bismarck 6/8

This was the second razor I owned . I gave it to my twin brother about 27 years ago. He decided straights were not for him so he used it to trim feathers when he was fletching his arrows. We both forgot about this one until he was clearing out some old archery kit to sell.
He decided to give it back to me its now about 5/8 with a frown towards the heal.
I breadknifed the frown out of the heal &reset the bevel .
Then made it shave ready & tightened the pin up .
I will give this a flight tomorrow morning.
    Here's the pics .
The razor its pictured against is a new Dovo 6/8 best quality.
The final pics I've tried to show the new larger bevel.
It took a good edge so it should be a great shaver .
I'm christening this one my Lazarus blade.
    Cheers Guys

Sad that it lost some of it's edge, but at least it's back home.

I can't for the life of me see someone using a razor that is that nice to cut feathers for arrows. I think next time you should give your brother a hobby knife. I'm glad to see that it is back to being used for what it's made for, and now receiving proper care. Nice job bringing it back to life!

Nice story. Glad it came home again. Love the red scales and spine wash on those.
    Enjoy.
