Thanked: 20Dubl Duck Dwarf Restore - Before - After - Pic Heavy
I posted pictures of a DD Dwarf I won in an EBay auction back in November? I decided to go at it with what I have. I do not have any power tools yet so this is my first hit on it. I didn't remove the scales. All I am using (all I have) is a set of Micro-Mesh sanding pads that start at 1500 grit and go up to 12,000. Once I get some power equipment I will take the scales off and clean the undersides and then re-pin it. Anyway, here are some pics of before and after using my Micro-mesh pads. I am going to hone it up tonight and shave with it in the morning. There are some stains/etching marks that I haven't been able to remove with what I have that are visible in some of the photos and it isn't quite where I want it yet, but I thought it's good enough to hone and shave and I will finish later. Not the greatest job but there it is. My apologies for the poor picture quality.
Oops, I forgot to mention that I started off with 80/120 grit first.
Here is Now after attacking it with the Micro-mesh

Looks great!
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.
