Competition razor - Wrought Iron and Olive
So, it's been 5 years since my last entry. I recently remembered SRP and want to share this razor that I made a year ago.
The idea was that I should make everything within a weekend; drawing it, picking material, forging, grinding and mounting the scales. I had somebody else to hone it.
Usually, I can work on a knife for ages, so this time I had to ignore the small details that I was not happy with. I am not overly satisfied with the design and the pins and washers were giving me some trouble.
But I managed to finish everything within the time limit, friday afternoon to sunday night.

It has taken some use and still cuts well. My girlfriend borrows it to shave her legs... but she didn't understand that she had to dry it afterwards. Oh, I was angry. And I dont have acces to a workshop at the moment, so I can't clean it up. But now, I do kind of like the patina. The first picture is before use, the pin and seen from the end is after a year of use.
