W. Greaves & Sons, Sheaf Works... circa 1826-1850
Here's a real Beauty I just finished up for a friend here at SRP: A pre-1850 W. Greaves & Sons 13/16 with barbers notch. Lovely razor this...finished in a crocus polish with a leather wheel and then dressed in black horn scales (matched to the original scales) with lead wedge and brass domed collars. As you can see (Tom!) I haven't yet pinned it up...but will be finishing it with nickle silver pins.
I would be remiss if I didn't give a big shout-out to 10 Pups for his excellent advice on the scales...and for the horn that he gifted me for this project. THANKS PUPS! This razor will be winging it's way to Canada soon...

I don't think you can go wrong with black horn on a vintage blade. Very nice work,,, Thank You for sharing it.

Beautiful blade, love seeing your work!
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.
