Thread: Most recent project

This is a razor I recently completed. It took a great edge and shaves really well, buttery smooth. It is made from W2 (from NJ Steel Baron). It is 7/8 wide, the scales are brown streaky horn (when held to the light), a faux ivory wedge. I stacked and alternated the washers. This was my first time HT W2 and the first razor I made from it didn't go so well. I'm not sure what happened, I heat treated it much like 1095 (I do use a kiln) but I believe that my quench wasn't warmed enough and well from there it went south. Oh well, live and learn. This one turned out great though. Thoughts, comments, input always welcome. Thanks!
