Well I finished up my strop. Really didn't need to do much. I just cleaned up the hardware with a wire wheel and replaced the leather with calfskin. Have to keep an eye on the leather since its only 1mm thick. Was thinking of sanding the metal smooth, but decided to keep the cast look. The handle needed to be sanded some and since the paint soaked so deep I couldn't go with a natural finish. Repainted it and coated it with urethane. Now I just to make a sleeve for it.
