I purchased this razor in an antique store while on a road trip a few weeks ago. The blade has a very nice etch that I was able to preserve and I think I was successful. There was a stain spot on the "E" of the word "Extra" and I decided to leave it rather than risk ruining the etch. I did this restore by hand using steel wool and WD40, 800, 1k, 2k wet dry sandpaper, Mothers Mag and Aluminium polish...and elbow grease. There is still some staining and small pitting on the blade and tang and tail, but the most of it has been cleanup up fairly well. I am pleased with the outcome.
