If I understand correctly, the blade is not made of steel? How do they shave?

The steel used is DIN 1.2210 (AISI L2) The razor is honed after coating using a diamond stone to set the bevelQuote:

Wow that is nice! I normally am not a fan of DLC coating but it looks great on that blade with those scales!
I like the DLC. This fires up the RAD again. Just when I thought it had subsided... Sigh.
Will it ever end?
