Very nice work once again, good to see you post, keep up the good work.
WOW. Real nice work Wolfpack. I'm running out of adjectives. :chapeau
Nice old razor. Great restoration. What was the original finish like? Big bevel on it. Someone else must have liked it too. How much fun was it to hone?
Thanks Karl! It was kind of a 'bear' to work on/hone this wedge, but after the effort it shaves smooth like a Sheffield should. The original finish was most likely a soft finish...glaze. Hard to tell exactly after 150 + years of age, patina, rust etc. One of these days maybe I'll get a 2 by72 and you can give me some tips on how you regrind these old blades.
Lovely scale restoration, and the blade...oooh, so shiny! :tu
Great job. Is crocus paste as fine as jewelers rouge? What grit level would it be? Thanks.
