Part of the initiation to the straight razor club is getting duped by an ebay listing.

Well, I happened to keep my pakistani razor from ebay, knowing it might come in handy later. I tried my first quasi-pinning job on it, knowing I could learn from my mistakes and not feel too bad about it.

I know, I know... there aren't any washers. All in due time. I'm working with what I got (brass brads). They still tighten up, mushroom out, give that sleek look, etc.

That being said, this isn't my finest work at all. Nonetheless, I think it is still important to post because I remember how frustrating it can be to research obscure brands. At least this post will save someone time and money.

BTW, does anyone have any tips on how to get a cleaner polyurethane finish? I make sure everything is clean, and even leave the scales in a sealed plastic bin-- but still get dust.

It shaves fine, but don't buy one.
