8/8" handforged damascus, bellied full hollow, with fossile bone

Hello,

I would like to share this special razor with you, which we had the opportunity to make for a customer.

It´s a 8/8" blade with a bellied full hollow grind, made from a handforged damascus billet from the Balbach forge in Germany. The Damascus is so called "Explosion" damascus, which is a twisted mosaic pattern.
The design is our so called "dragonfly" look combined with our "axelook".
The scales are made from fossile bone (Stellersche Seekuh) and have a DSC damascus wedge.

That is a serious piece of art. If it was mine, I'd use it once then put it in a display under glass. Very Nice!

Insanely beautiful grain pattern in that blade.
Axe shape is almost intimidating,,, almost,,,

I love the way that the pattern of the damascus changes right at the belly of the blade.
Other than that the razor needs to be put on a pedestal under a spotlight...Wow!

Beautiful work Ulrik. I have a question. I notice that the bevel is not apparently Damascus. Is this a san mai forging, with the Damascus laminated around harder steel in the center?

That is lovely. Is that Steller Sea Cow fossil and was it stained to make it that color or is that natural?
