The razor itself was already posted once in the WIP thread, but today I finished the rest.

The razor was forged from a piece of Alfred Pendray wootz steel. we settled on a fixed handle razor design. I added the rubies because I thought they would look great and add a bit of color. The stand was made from a piece of fossilized Stellers sea cow bone. And I also added the bone travel scales because I wanted to make absolutely sure that if this razor needs to travel, it arrives with edge intact.

As to the stand: at first I thought of designs that would also hold the end of the tail in place, for a solid grip. But then I figured I would make the brass holder in such a way that it chokes and holds the razor in place. the only way to put it in or get it out is to angle the blade upwards and then slide it upwards, out of between the prongs.
