9/8 San Mai Hybrid/ 7/8 Damascus Buckeye
these are the other two blades in the batch i had made, they came out pretty amazing!
with the san mai blade the billet is actually stainless steel with the high carbon, when i etched the blade there was carbon migration where the weld was, it was really fuzzy looking so i ended up sanding it off... i dont know if i should have etched it longer to bring it out more but it didnt look all that well...i didnt take a picture but i have another one of these to grind so i will play with the etch on that one... the scales on this are mammoth tooth with some honey comb aluminum and finally a wood i cannot remember at the moment lol love it! also yes i did make a spacer and not a wedge on the hybrid, only because i didnt want too much stress on the material...

next is the damascus blade, which came out amazing! i was worried about too much of the 15n20 showing up too much on the edge so i drew the blade where the steels were really blended together. I didnt really have any hiccups with this blade other than i feel like i put way to much nail polish on because the bevel of the blade isnt that thick lol The handle is a gallery grade natural buckeye burl, believe it or not this is the piece with the least happening on it...
