    Cool Some American Classics

Here are few American razors that I finished recently. Seems as though lately I've been working on and restoring different American razors almost exclusively. No problem for me as they are great shavers and vastly underrated by many new SR shavers...

Here is a 'Red Imp' BIG blade ( don't often see many of these bigger American blades! ). 7/8 full hollow highly polished and pinned with domed nickel silver pins and collars. I filled in the Logo on the tang with red enamel which enhanced the look of the blade I think:

Next up is a Cattaraugus 'Salamander' in typical Green scales. Highly polished and refinished scales pinned in brass with brass collars:

Here is an OST Cutlery Co., Newark, N.J. circa 1906-1914. Highly polished restored shoulder-less grind blade with polished and restored orange scales and Ni-Ag pin and collar.

This is an Electric Cutlery Co., Newark, N.J. circa 1890-1910 shoulder-less blade This is a true (and very rare IMO) 'Tapered' American blade with 'quill shaped' spine. Restored and polished with what I call a 'soft polish steel look' or Glaze finish; sanded and restored scales and pinned with a Ni-Ag collar and pin. The blade face is etched with the word ELECTRIC...

Here is a wonderful bigger blade Torrey (13/16). It's etched 'Gun Metal' and the tang and spine are finished with gun metal bluing. The blade faces were done with a polished glazed finish and the scales were restored and polished and finished with Ni-Ag collars and pins.
