W&B barber's notch restore

With a little effort and SRP help I've finished my W&B 6/8 barbers notch with horn scales likely made somewhere between 1900 and 1950. The scales have an integral wedge. The blade appeared remarkably unused with little to no hone wear on the spine and an even bevel along the edge. It would pop a couple of arm hairs when I received it. The blade was cleaned up with #0000 steel wool, Simichrome, and MAAS polish. Some staining is still present, but I think it suits this razor. The scales were cleaned using a modified needle probe to get gunk out of the cracks (as much as I could), sanded to 2500 grit, cracks sealed with thin CA, soaked in oil, and finished with Simichrome then MAAS polish. Again some of the staining is still present, but I didn't want to risk damage by going further and it fits with the blade. The collars are original. I was able to remove most of the dents present with a hollowed punch I made from a bolt (idea from SRP - thanks again) and a doming block. Some of the dents could not be removed, but again, I think it sits with the overall razor. It's not perfect, but I'm pleased with it for now and am looking forward to a shave this weekend. Oh, and of course the pictures...

Really nice work.
Should give one heck of a shave.
Nothing like Sheffield Steel.

Thanks, I've got a couple of other Sheffield blades and I'm fairly smitten with them. Had some nice shaves with American and German steel but the heavier grind Sheffield blades have been really impressing me. This one is around 1/2 hollow? Definitely not a full hollow, and thinner than a 1/4 hollow.

Unless the shave is horrible (probably not), this is going to be used!

. I'm not wanting display blades. These pieces of history should to be used...
