    Default H.M. Christiensen Warranted

Recently restored H.M.Christensen. Scales are Southern Live Oak snag (standing deadwood. This wood might be 1500 years old)

Wood is sanded to 3k and coated with 10 coats of Beechwood Casey Gun Stock Wax which gives it a matte finish. Went with original brass anti friction spacers, brass pins and collars. Bevel set on Norton 1k then 4k/8k pyramid progression then finished with 100 laps on Sharpton 12k then cotton canvas, then the leather.

I just completed restoring this Challenge Cutlery 5/8" I was able to save the scales and the wedge. Pins and washers are new. Honed with Naniwa Synthetic stones 1k to 12k then a half dozen passes on my paddle strop with 5 micron DMT
