An early Joseph Rogers with the simple blade stamp of 'Rogers'. I restored a razor almost exactly the like this back in 2018 with the blade stamp 'Rogers Refined Steel'. The razor likely dates 1805 - 1815. A 6/8 near wedge blade with an arris spine restored with glazed finished blade faces and crocus finished spine and tang. Beautiful pressed horn scales in dyed honey horn. The impression depicts farm life and a tiny name 'Morton' stamped into both scales. I'm unsure if it is the scale makers name or the craftsman that made the dye the scales were formed in. The few minor bug bites in the scales were left as is and the scales simply cleaned and soak in neatsfoot oil.
