    Default Movember H H TAYLOR

Bought one lot of blade only razors from Tom (Sharptonn) during a Movember auction. This H H TAYLOR is one of them. Blade was in decent shape so did some hand sanding then onto the buffer. Still some remnants of pitting but you can only do so much. The scales I've used came from a trashed Wosty. They were too long so I removed the wedge and filled the pin holes with CA and horn powder. Then redrilled new wedge pin holes to narrow the gap between wedge and blade. Hand sanded the scales and put them to the buffer for a nice shine.

A very pleasing outcome, nicely restored and a very useable vintage razor.

Thanks fellas. I'm really happy how it turned out. Did alot of reading and re-reading of informative posts here on SRP before starting any work. I have a few more from this lot of blades to work on and will hopefully start making scales in the near future.

You are off to a fine start. I'll enjoy seeing the others as you get them done. Have fun.
