    Default Green FBU

    Today I rescaled this W&B 9/8ths ..

The client wanted green Ox horn scales, copies of the originals with a copper lined wedge.. The blade was already restored.

The scales have a polished edge and a satin center. The satin shows off the pearl like qualities and a depth which is exchanged for flat colours when polished..
The B side scale is white pearl in daylight and green in artificial light..

It was a pleasure to hone this with a Nagura progression..
    Thanks

I love how you do such great work but just shrug your shoulders and move on to the next one, that is a really nice finish.

If I still lived in the smoke I would be at your door begging for lessons.

I think no one would be home but the curtains would twitch ha ha.. The good ones are forgotten but the few mistakes i have made in the early days will always haunt me..My brothers W&B 7/8ths sadly was reduced to a ultra hollow grind and the Joseph Fenton i see every time i close my eyes

What a great job. And those Ox horn scales are fantastic as always. I wish I could source some for my self but have not been able to as of yet.
