Crown and sword worked back in cocobolo
I just finished this one for a SRP member. The blade was in good shape so I just gave it a light sand and then the buffing wheels. The scales are Cocobolo with a Bacote wedge. Cocobolo is particularly difficult to work with, specifically the finish. The dark wood highlights any imperfection in the epoxy resin finish. I actually made 3 sets and this is the only one that meets my QC standards.
Those spots are rain, it is sprinkling outside. I think it turned out nice. Now I have to finish the other 3 for him.Last edited by ByronTodd; 07-05-2008 at 03:34 AM.
