C. Meyers & Sons
This one I did in oak, stained with mahogany red, sanded it back down to leave the stain in the grain, 4 coats of tung oil, and 4 coats of spar. Brass pins and spacer. I think I'm bored with oak. Going to start trying with the deer antler now.

Wow, this thing shaves better than my Bismarck. Amazing how they all feel different when you shave.

You can't see it on the pic, but they actually are really shiny. Sanded down to 2,000 grit. They are glossier than the previous set I did by a long shot. I haven't gotten the courage to try the CA yet.

Not me! The color and the finish are a nice blend and look very natural. Like the handle of a tool polished smooth from years of being used, or like sand smooth-polished amber washed up on shore. Originally Posted by gugi
