    Default Two swedish razors

    Hi all!

I've just finished my two first restorations, the razors are a DW Dahlgren and a CV Heljestrand Mk 30 both from Eskilstuna, Sweden. The Dahlgren is a 5-6/8 near wedge with a slightly smiling edge, probably bone scales. The Heljestrand is a 4-5/8 hollow grind with plastic scales.

When I got the Dahlgren it was dirty, and loose in the pivot. I took it apart and cleaned and polished it up, I kind of like the french styled scales so i sanded the scales in that shape and put it all together again.

When I got the Heljestrand it was dirty, the scales had a poorly fixed crack and the pivot was loose. I took it apart an cleaned and polished, repinned it with some scales i had lying around.

The razors have som spots and small pitting that I might polish out, don't know if it's worth the time..

    Feel free to comment..

    1. The Dahlgren before shot.
    2. The Dahlgren after shot.
    3. The Heljestrand before shot (lead band to hold the cracked scales together).
    4. The Heljestrand after shot.
