I really like it, actually - It would be grand if you could do that and scrimshaw the features into it! Really though, I saw the hair immediately and realized the proportion difference. Perhaps you could carve some relief into the hair to make it stand out a bit?
Either way, I think it's great...really unique!

Dare I say it?
Nice arse, shame about the head... :P
I don't think the hair is really the issue. You can tell there would be hair there although a little more definition couldn't hurt. I think what the issue is is the "relation" of the head to the rest of the body. The head from chin to top looks like it is the size of the hamstring- which looks like that means it's huge for someone's head lol. Also, the proportions between chin and nose and forehead, etc. are a little iffy. The breast could use less "easing into" the stomach too. I'm not trying to be an A-hole here, I think this could be really cool if refined a little more. People are usually just frightened to give real feedback which I think is valuable.
Cut some hair from walnut, epoxy it on and call her a brunette. Should have used a Wacker blade, then it would be an Osage orange girl with a Wacker.
:rofl2:
That's not a 'Wedge' by any chance, is it?!
:roflmao
Ummm That would be" Wedgie" I do believe :D
Seriously though great idea, and great work, I am by no means artistic enough to ever try something like that..... Or to realize if the neck, hair and any other line was out of proprotion....
Good Job !!!!
Now after showing it to my very artistic wife her response was yes the head is a little off, the body looks fantastic, and her suggestion was do more of a Barbie style hair flip and tiny little nose and the with the hair flip in the back you could elongate the neck line more....
Hope that made sense to you because I have no idea what she meant... Her words not mine were "If he is enough of an artist to do that , he'll know what I mean"
First - great idea!
Second - kudos, I wouldn't be able to do it half as well
Third - hoping to help you improve further: yes, the proportions are off. The head, for one, as mentioned above. The nose in particular is pretty big imo for a nice lady :) Hair is OK, but the chin are, etc. - also too big. The other thing is that I think it would look better with longer legs. Right now the torso looks too big / long for the legs to me
Cheers
Ivo
edit: if you sand / reduce the nose, and then fix the throat by making the current mouth the chin - it would look better. And for the next scales I still think longer legs would be more pleasing to the eye
