    Default Heirloom: Holley Mfg Co.

This is a restore I just finished up, These are the most stressful restores for me.
When somebody sends me their Fathers, Grandfathers, or Great Grandfathers razor and they want it to be brought back to life....
I worry all the way through them, because you are working with a blade that can never be replaced... So failure is not an option on these..

I did a really light polish on the blade to remove the rust and pitting but wanted to keep the etch on there too this went in the tumbler for days and days and days The slight pitting that you can see in the pics is barely noticeable in the hand... I was very, very, happy with the balance on this one, you can literally place the tang on your fingertip and she balances right there, should handle like a dream on the face....

I still need to take this one to the hones, and take out the tiny nick in the blade but all in all I am pretty happy with the outcome..

Mfg: Holley Mfg Co. Lakeville CT 1846-1930
    Blade: 5/8 spike point
    Scales: Zebrawood
Finish: 12 coats of hand rubbed tung oil
Hardware: Brass pins, stacked bulls eye washers
    Wedge: African Blackwood
