    Default 6/8 Joseph Rodgers in Full Ivory Tang/Scales

    I finished it up! 6/8 blade

    BEFORE:




    AFTER:











    Process:

    Hand sanded, 4 hours
    grits: 100 -- 150 -- 220 -- 320 -- 400 -- 600

    Hand polished for 2 hours.

    That really cleaned up nice. How did you protect the tang from the sanding?

    I was just really careful hand sanding.... I'm sure hit the ivory here and there, but, I must say, that ivory is incredibly resilient compared to celluloid
