Thread: Workingman's Wapi

Hey guys, Here is a wapi I got from our main man Big Red. I fixed it up with some walnut scales and a satin finish both on the blade and the scales (these are rather plain but there is a reason for that). I think Glen calls this a "working razor" finish, which is what I was going for. I put this together for my uncle who is the owner of a small business in New Jersey... he is a very hard worker and a great dad, so this one is my symbol of what a working man's razor might be... not really any frills, but a good shaver with reserved dignity. It will be heading his way next week.

For a working man, I expected a denim finish, preferably Carhartt. I also like the satin or matte finishes, makes me feel like the razor is for using instead of displaying.

No, HE did all that work, I only sold the blade! I was marvelling over that pin job too. It amazes me when guys get it rounded like that and no hammer marks. It really looks fantastic. I'm envious of his uncle.
