Default John Shaw's Celebrated 7/8 for Barber's Use Restored

This one was restored using Quilted Bubinga and I used the original scale design with only a few changes...

The macro lense is picking up every single blemish, but in person she shines sweetly, I did not re-grind out everything so I could keep the blade stamp...
Almost got a clean mirror finish anyway....

The Quilted Bubinga is finished with 10 coats of gloss wipe on Poly, the wedge was the original that I re-worked, I really think it is silver, and not lead.. The pins are Nickel Silver with #0 SS domed washers

    That's a looker for sure!

I assume that's not really a chip in the edge near the toe in the 2nd pic...? I don't see it in pic #3, so it's probably the camera messing with you.

    I'm gettin' a new razor!!!!!

I can't wait till this beautiful beast arrives!

Now if I could just get my beard to grow faster.

I can't thank you enough Glen.

Although I'll probably thank you again once I get to touch it...

    Was that too much enthusiasm?

That quilted Bubinga is pretty far-out looking.

I like the original, no-nonsense scale outlines though. Very nice: classic cool with a fancy wood twist.

Seen it all now - Glen raising wedges on pedestals -
Nice one mate. Cool grain on the Bubinga.
