Pair of Columbia Cutlery razors in contrasting scales and etched blades
This is a pair of 5/8 new old stock Columbia Cutlery razors, one round point the other a spike. The blades have matched etching and were new, never honed blades. They were in quite good condition when I got them. They did not need any sanding, just a few passes on the buffing wheels and a bit of polish. The blades have never seen a hone and are nearly new condition. Only the slightest of staining and you have to really look to find that.
I put the blades in contrasting scales. The spike went into a set of epoxy resin finished bloodwood with a yellowheart wedge. The round point went into a set of epoxy resin finished yellowheart with a bloodwood wedge. Both are pined with 1/16 rod with a brass over stainless washer config for a decorative finish. They are both nice shaving razors. They are defiantly extra hollow ground, singing steel. The real interesting part, I purchased the blades a good year apart. I just happen across the round point a month ago so I decided to get the spike out of the project box and clean them both up.
They will be going into the classifieds later today as a set.
