Wade & Butcher 8/8 rescale in Ebony and blood wood insppired by cannonfodder
To start out I would like to thank cannonfodder for his post of a similar rescale. I copied his ebony and blood wood desigh. Cannonfodder's rescale can be found here: http://straightrazorpalace.com/galle...w-b-wedge.html
I am not trying to improve on his work. I picked up this blade w/ really bad scales and searched the gallery for someone's work that I thought would look good with the blade and this is what CarrieM and I though would go best. What do they say is the greatest form of flattery?
I would not suggest this as a first project. I don't have all of the tools that would make this restore easier but I did the best I could with what I had on hand. The only purchase needed for the project was the wood. Everything else I had on hand from other restores. I originally wanted to use the original washers from the old scales but it wasn't going to work out.
Hope you like the results.“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)
