Sweeeeet! Very nice indeed!
Sweet, Glen. Yeah, I like it better without the wash as well.
Beautiful. Nice job on the scales :bow
That's a bit of a beast! Very nice in those scales.
How does it compare to a Friodur?
Enjoy it Glen!
Love it!
Those scales are out of this world!
Do you buy that material or make it yourself?
Stunning work sir !!!
That is such a great balance of beast and beauty ...
Funny you should ask that exact question, as I just bought an 8/8 Friodur for myself also should be here at the end of the week... So I will be able to find that out...I am going to try out these two big blades for a few weeks and see if I can't get used to somthing over 6/8 in size...
I buy the oversize Acrylic pen-blanks then cut them into workable sizes, using a thin kerf carbide blade on my table saw... What is pretty cool is that depending on the cut, you can produce different designs...
very nice as always, I really like your scales on that one. if you do decide the large blades aren't for you again I may know a buyer :w
Ben I have honed plenty of the 7/8 and 8/8 Friodurs but a quick test shave does not a judgement make.... Now I will say that to get those Friodurs to shave smoothly takes a little extra doing.... The Filly jumped right to smooth as silk first shave off the hones....
I will post the Friodur after I customize it, thinking Black and Silver acrylics on it..... :p
