Thread: Hess 44 magnum

I know what you're thinking. "Did he dremel in six jimps or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a 44 Hess, the smoothest stainless in the world, and would cut your whiskers clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel like shaving? Well, do ya, punk?




The standard Hess came as a roundpoint (it was however NOS!), and I was rather unimpressed with the overall character of the razor....I was about to simply hone it up and sell it off, and then inspiration struck....

Very nicely done!

WOW. Please don't put it in the classifieds, I want to save my money.

I'm really loving the layered scales. Did you "inlay" the lettering under epoxy yourself?

And those scallop jimps are absolutely fantastic.

Yes, The "Fourty Four" came off of the original scales, and I laminated it on teh new ones.

First, your initial write-up is great man, nothing like dirty harry references.

I really like those scales man!! I'm not a fan of gunstock shape, but the wood, the way the forty-four lays on top there. Awesome man, looks like what you shave with on a chris craft yacht. has a very retro look, which I love.
