    Default Droescher No. 79

This is one of 2 Droeschers I scored on eBay a while back & finally restored.
    Keeping both.
First pic is original from eBay then a couple of mid-stage sanding pics. A lot of crud on the bolsters & the wedge pin was rusty. Needless to say I re-pinned this baby.

Scales & bolsters were just buffed no sanding. Excuse the compound round the pins etc. Sometimes don't see these things till the macro lens shows them up.

Stripped the tang and re-blackened with dilute oxalic, then painted in the red "No.79" . I replaced the original thrust washers with thicker ones as the tang was rubbing the scales. Original wedge. Re -pinned with nickel silver pins & stainless washers.

Took this one to a slightly finer polish than my usual 'satin' but just one compound up. Blade is about 11/16".

Terrible, terrible shaver Strongly recommend any one finding one to send them to me for appropriate disposal.
    Ah well here's hoping
