    Default First resto job done...Halberd

Got my first resto job finished. I didn't take the 10-20 hours of grinding time some of you use, I just started at 400 grit and jumped straight to 1000 then 2000 and some green paste on a polishing wheel. The goal being that I didn't want any of the pitting removed, just wanted to get rid of the patina and cancer spots.

Before shot: FA Clauberg 'Halberd' 5/8

Here's a couple of the 'after' pics. Scales are imitation tortoise from Theirs-Issard.

Shots were with the Canon 50mm 1.4 set at 2.0

Very nicely done! Congrats on your first resto job.

And I gotta tell you, those Halberd take a wicked sharp edge.

Nice job! That blade looks lovely & clean, but you can still see it's got history. It's great to get the first one done, as it really builds the confidence.
