    Default Eucalyptus Wade & Butcher

My work buddy brought me this wood from a tree he had cut down a few years ago in his yard. He though I might be interested in it.... yep. I had an old miss stamped nasty looking W&B just about cleaned up, so I went to band saw and started making saw dust. Finish is CA with brass pins, washers and bearings with a micarta spacer. Shaves well after a quick hone and strop. My buddy flipped when he seen the wood and now wants me to rescale the Wapi I made for him a few months ago. Here's a few pics:

    Here's the missed stamp:

Those scales look awesome...The wood really pops with the grain being the star. Great work. When you get tired of it , let me know..

    The wood is smiply stunning.

I can't believe how much contrast there is in such a small piece. You forget sometimes that the scales are small compared to a tree lol ... so you dont usually see so much diverse changes in the wood scales. The colors and knotts and grain of the wood just look amazing....

    great work !

We've got a ton of them here in California. Love the smell, hate the mess. Wouldn't trade them for the world, but had no idea they were that lovely on the inside.
