Came in for a blade resto & was closing off centre.
Well, the scales were a little warped & I just gave them a squeeze at the pivot to see how bad & snappo ! Ended up making new ones but as much as I like the old Bakelite ones when they're cleaned up I like my acrylics better :D Actually feel nice in the hand too. Not slippery despite the shine.
Blade was only sanded till the etch looked at risk then finished on the buffs. Original pewter wedge & refitted with simple brass pins & washers. Also added brass thrust washers. Closes to centre now :)
Edge was pretty sad at the heel so reground the area & then honed up for a typical Bengall luxury shave.
