That is one sweet rework there I like how you took out the shoulders. and the way the scales match the new profile of the blade. Now that makes me want to intentionally look for a razor with similar damage just to have the excuse to do work on it like that.
looks fine to me... Although I love an old blade as much as the next guy, I'm no purist and I have no reservations about changing the look of a blade in order to save it or give it a custom look. Nice work!
That's a superb restore. Nice job on the lines. I'm a huge fan of this restore. How long did it take you from crack to finish?
Very nice save.
Looks great!

Thanks for the comments. The dremel got the shape 90% there relatively quickly, but removing the grind marks and getting the lines to flow where the shoulders used to be took a looong time - a month or so of infrequent hand sanding. Then another long wait till I could get some horn for the scales. So from crack to finish (If I had have been working on it solidly) I recon about 40+ hours.
Shame about losing the stamps but great that you saved it from a near fatal crack.
Your work shows your "perfectionism" :)
Well worth the time.Nice work!
Really tasty!
