Grelot, Friodur, Wonderedge, Wade & Butcher - Mix 'n Match
These are some of the finest razors on the market. It's always such a pleasure to be able and enjoy them for a while.
TI's Le Grelot. Wonderful smooth shaver. Blade was perfect and only needed new scales. Carbon Fiber/G10 in blue with brass, SS and nickel silver hardware.
The wonderedge's original scales were badly warped. Razor was heavily tarnished with some deep patina. Got polished to a wonderful DD shine. Scales are black paper micarta and all hardware was transferred. Brass and silver nickel hardware.
Friodur 17. What a wonderful blade. Blade just needed a light buff and scales chosen are burgundy micarta. The Twin logo and Friodur inlay were transferred from the old faux ivory acrylic scales. SS, silver nickel hardware and third pin.
Lastly a W&B, The Celebrated, For Barber's use. A true classic. Blade had been restored a long time ago. Scales are faux ivory micarta. Brass, SS and nickel silver hardware.
As you can tell none were easy scale materials. My fingers are still cramped from sanding. But alll took a really amazing edge and I enjoyed the brief moment of test shaving them. Couldn't resist.
Enjoy.

Thanked: 1371Great stuff Max! I especially like that you transferred the hardware from the old scales to the new on the DD and the Friodur.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

GORGEOUS
Max,
I am drooling as I write. Seriously gorgeous ...This is where art meets style and vintage.
Now, I want them...But, Shhhhh, don't tell the new owner though.

All are stellar examples of your work; I need a bib 'cause I'm still drooling over the photos.
To me, it looks like you did a little extra contouring ahead of the pivot of the W&B scales, and I really like it!!!
