Default W&B Celebrated 7/8 Vintage Restore

This is another Vintage Restore coming off the bench for Olafurson
This the W&B Celebrated American Razor, I actually tried to keep the frosted American Eagle by running it though the tumblers for a week, but that Frosted etch came right off and the the razor still wasn't clean...

So I ran this one from bottom to top on the buffers, and came out with a near perfect mirror, just like when she left the factory...
The scales were in OK shape, and just need so serious cleaning, and a bit of polishing so Greg decided we should keep these on...
I had to repair a half crack on at the wedge. but down there it will not be a problem... I went with the stacked washers and silver pins that I like on these old Sheffielders... This one should hone right up as there was no bad wear on her at all..

And again the razor even though it is a 7/8 near wedge balances to the tang from Wade & Butcher,,,, hmmmmm maybe there is something to this balance stuff...

What a fine tribute, this razor comes full circle.

    Sweet!

I really like that it kept the original scales as well. I love the big W&B's, they look awesome..!

    Thats great work Glen!

This restore looks good enough to shave with haha ... bummer about the etching.

I am assuming that was just some surface rust along the bevel there and not too serious.

Also, I'm glad to see the 'balance pic' is back in the rotation.
