Default First Ever Restoration - ABT

Picked this thing up for a couple of bucks at a flea market, decided I'd have a go at practicing cutting razors and removing deep, old rust. It's an American Barber Tools blade marked "M.I. Germany."
No clue what it is, or whether it's even got any value.

Then I got my grubby little hands on it...

I shall call it, Mini Me.

The only tools I had were my dremel, some sandpaper, and some very basic polishing compounds (mostly car stuff, aluminum polish, and whatever came with the dremel kit). Had to cut the broken tip off. I was going to go for a spike, but cooked the blade a tiny bit at the cut and ended up rounding the tip so only the tempered steel was left.

Now time to get it honed and give the mini a try.

Later on down the road, I plan to take it apart and re-pin it (just so I can get a chance to clean the rest of the blade). I like the nicks on the scales, I figured it adds character.
