8/8 custom swayback...thanks Bambi

I made this one for old Bob who lives down the road. Imagine, another Bob in this town...what are the odds????

It is an 8/8's sway back French point with jimps top and bottom, full hollow ground with a bright mirror finish. Wedge is aluminium.

:gwh:The scales are Whitetail deer antler, almost a center cut, with lots of the spongelike marrow showing. They have a thick, glasslike epoxy finish and I must say that these are probably the best looking scales I have made yet. The pictures really don't do them justice.

How did you get the lettering in the scales?

My wife is telling me I can't look at your threads any more because I am becoming whiny about needing to have a custom razor made :D awesome work.

I do love the antler scales may have to see about getting some from a friend and try it myself.

Shooter and Drac, The lettering was laser etched at the local engravers before the epoxy was applied. With laser etching any font, size and thousands of characters and pictures are available. And it only cost $5.47.

That blade looks like it would be so smooth with a touch of no bs, matched with scales of no bs and a little elegance, it came to the perfect complete package
