Default Joseph Smith&Son Celebrated wedge in Paduk backed Ebony

This is a wicked smooth shaving razor. It is a Joseph Smith & Son Celebrated Razor 3415. The blade was pretty rusted so it got a run on the greesless compunds then a buffing to clean it up. There is still one small spot in the middle of the blade with some pitting but given the shape the blade was in to start, I am good with that. All the rust is cleaned up and it has a nice polish although not a mirror finish. The blade is a 6/8 barber notch wedge.

I did a bit W&B in a set of Paduk backed Gabon ebony scales a few months ago and really like the play on color. I made another set using a TI style cut. The deep red Paduk rim around the black Ebony just looks wicked. Since the scales are smaller, I went with a single brass washer with a 1/16 brass pin. The wedge is Gabon ebony as well.

I restored one of these blades a couple months ago and was impressed with the shave.
