    Default Buffalo chopper custom

Greg Almond was down a couple weeks ago. Great guy by the way. This is the razor that I worked on while I was showing him all the various steps in razor meisterizing while he made his two.

It is just over 17/16's at the narrowest part of the swayback. The point is a rounded French point, if there is such a thing, with finger notches and jimps atop and jimps below. The grind is half hollow.

The finish on the blade is something new. First I put a mirror finish on it, then gave it a bath in ferric cloride. Finally I buffed that off with a softbuff and a no scratch rouge. Result: flawless near mirror finish.

Scales are water buffalo with hippo ivory wedge.

Steel is a little bit of a mistery as of now. Regardless, it took a killer edge.

    As always, thanks for looking
